Friends of Every Age
Oh, my life has been a kaleidoscope of friendships. Right now, my closest friends range from 22 to 80 and somehow, we all make perfect sense together.
We might be separated by decades, but at our core, I swear we’re the same person just wearing different glasses and using different slang.I still feel like a child some days; curious, hungry to learn, delighted by the world. That’s why I love having friends of every age.
They remind me that growing older doesn’t mean growing up too much. My younger friends teach me about things like TikTok trends and emotional boundaries; my older friends teach me about grace, good wine, and how to avoid caring what anyone thinks.
Each generation holds a piece of the puzzle. The young remind me what’s possible; the seasoned remind me what’s worth it. Together, we swap wisdom like recipes, a little seasoning from one life, a pinch of humor from another.
Friendship across ages is proof that time isn’t a wall between us. It’s a mirror; one where we can see who we were, who we are, and who we might still become.Margaret’s getting married next month!
